HQHYA CAMPOUT –WAIKII RANCH By: Tehani Grasso
On Saturday the 18th of July there was a HQHYA campout at the Polo field at Waikii Ranch. The participants slept in a tent or in the clubhouse, but most of them slept outside in the tent. There was two days filled with fun and lots of horsy stuff. For example, the participants made horse treats for their horsy friends. There were lots of different activities other than making treats like making newspaper horses. The race for tack game was to figure out all the uses and names, and at the end whichever team had the most tack and equipment won. We also rode horses and made our own trail courses, which was a very interesting assignment for all the participants. We had AWESOME FOOD provided by Lynn Grasso and Steve Grasso THE COOKS. There was also the VERY STRICT RIDING LEADER Laura Rose and her ASSISTANT Kae Elledge. But all in all we all had a blast at the campout that weekend.
