On Saturday, April 25 2009,our HQHYA club visited the beautiful Aina Hou Animal hospital. It is the perfect environment for any sick or injured animal. It was a bright sunny day. There is a big operating room, which includes a device to contain horses during treatment. There are also some stalls in the clinic to house patients. Thanks to Dr. Brady Bergin and Tiffany Bergin we learned about dental care and vital signs.

We also learned how to take the T.P.R.(temperature pulse respiration). We learned what to look for every day with our horses. We talked about colic, bleeding wounds, choking and lameness. Thanks to the wonderful demonstration horse Teddy, we all got a chance to hear his heart beat with a stethoscope.

Then we had a great Mexican lunch made by Mr. and Mrs.Steve Grasso of a six layer dip, guacamole, spanish rice, chips, salad, tomatoes, steak, chicken, tacos, broccoli, carrots, cookies, chocolate, grapes and some fresh tangerines. It was really good.
We had a great time!
